Music IP Advisory
Senior, fractional support to structure, value, and execute the right moves, at the intersection of music IP, data and finance.
What we do
Due diligence
Buy-side and lender-side diligence on catalogues and music businesses. Income verification, royalty data quality, decay and concentration analysis.
Valuation
Independent valuations of catalogues, rights portfolios and music businesses, for acquisition, lending, restructuring, or simply knowing where you stand.
Modelling
Forecasts and scenarios built on real royalty data. From tested methods to our own proprietary trained models, we use the right model for the right situation. Numbers that stand up to scrutiny.
Strategy
A senior sounding board for boards, investors and management. From deal structuring to portfolio strategy, we advise from the outside or partner from the inside.
Innovation
We develop technology and processes at the intersection of finance and music rights, and bring them to bear on the problems a mandate throws up, rather than forcing every engagement through the same template.

He is as fluent in a lender’s downside case as in an owner’s growth story.
Common questions
What does music catalogue due diligence involve?
Buy-side and lender-side diligence on catalogues and music businesses: income verification, royalty data quality, decay and concentration analysis. The point is to turn a complex situation into a clear decision, with defensible numbers behind it.
How is a music catalogue valued?
Through independent valuation of the catalogue, rights portfolio or business, built on forecasts and scenarios drawn from real royalty data. From tested methods to our own proprietary trained models, we use the right model for the right situation, whether the purpose is acquisition, lending, restructuring, or simply knowing where you stand.
Who does Pure Signal work with?
Labels and publishers building, buying and selling rights; rights investors and their lenders deploying and protecting capital; private equity and family offices entering music; and lawyers and advisors supporting clients across the industry. We understand creators and their businesses deeply, but our clients are the companies and capital that build, buy, and finance rights.
What is fractional advisory?
Senior support to structure, value and execute the right moves, without a full-time hire. We advise from the outside or partner from the inside, and you always know exactly who you are working with.
